More about me…
I was born and grew up in Evian-les-Bains, France, along the beautiful Lake Geneva.
As long as I can remember, I always loved everything related to art, design and handcraft. You could keep me occupied for hours with a box of crayons and a colouring book.
I never grew out of that love and followed it all the way to university, in the heart of the French Alps, where I graduated with a master of art history.
I like to think that my love for art and my eye for design comes from my French roots, which I never forget, and that it contributes greatly to my elegant and sophisticated style.
Life accidents then brought me to Frankfurt in Germany where I have been working in an international company as a data analyst in the customer care area for more than ten years.
But my passion for design and creating never disappeared. While looking into new things after a year of lockdown, I rediscovered the creative person that I am and realised that I wanted it to be my full time job. Art and design are what lights my soul on fire and I want to put my passion to the service of my clients.
I therefore decided to follow my heart, quit my corporate job and founded Leou Pikou.
With Leou Pikou, I wanted to build a new chapter of my life where every morning would start with a big smile and the excitement of a new day filled with what I truly enjoy doing while helping my clients elevate their business.
I put my personal values and principles at the core of Leou Pikou:
RESPECT - RELATIONSHIPS - PASSION - INTEGRITY
Together with what I love and my personality: feminine and elegant, cozy atmospheres, clean and sophisticated designs.
I want my clients to feel comfortable in my digital home, like being in their own home, in a comfy chair under a blanket with a nice cup of tea, a good book and a candle.
Why Leou Pikou?
Many years ago I had a cat named Pixel. His nickname was Pikou.
Pikou was a free soul, an explorer. He was often away and we were always looking for him asking in French “Il est où Pikou?”, meaning “Where is Pikou?”. Said rapidly it sounded more like “L’est où Pikou?” pronounced [lɛoù Pikou]. And Leou Pikou was born.
A few years later when I started my first Etsy shop, it’s the name I chose for my store. And when the idea of having my design studio came to life, it was clear that Pikou would be part of it too :-)
My favorites
Autumn
My favorite season. I love the colours, the colder weather and anything pumpkin related.
Coffee/Tea
Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon, I love both and there is always a mug next to me.
Pillows
In my opinion, there can never be too many pillows, no matter the size, fabric or colour.
Plants
My home is a little urban jungle with a lot of plants. They help me calm my mind and be more relaxed.
